Helping hand from Anglicans

IN THE article by Jonathan Petre, Anglicans to help out with shortage of Papal Stewards, November 20, it was heartening to read of the co-operation which has shown itself evident in the arrangements for the Papal Masses around the country.
A factual error which appears to have been repeated in various newspapers, but without any attempt to check the accuracy of the statement reads: "The Pope's tour organisers, Mark McCormack's International Management Group ...'
International Management Group has been appointed by the Church in England, Wales and Scotland as its business consultants. Th e firm is not the organiser of the Papal visit or tour; it has solely been appointed to advise in connection with such business matters as transport (air and ground), publications, souvenirs, a video record of the tour and the like.
No agreements at all can be made by the firm; and International Management Group has not been appointed in any public relations role. Mgr Ralph Brown Central Co-ordinator for the Papal visit to England and Wales
