The Catholic Parents and Electors' Association has been thanked by the Hierarchy for the work put in by members of the association in connection with the passing of this year's Education Act.
Writing to Mr. C. J. Lawson, chairman of the Interdiocesan Council of the C.P.E.A., Bishop Beck of Salford (who is ecclesiastical adviser to the association' says that, after reporting to the Hierarchy the work which had been done in putting the Catholic case before M.P.s, he had received a letter from the Cardinal asking Bishop Beck to convey the Hierarchy's gratitude to the C.P.E.A. " I need not tell you how fully I endorse the expressions of gratitude contained in His Eminence's letter," adds Bishop Beck.
