THE POPE'S DAY

The Pope, who is now at his summer residence of Castel Gandolf,), has speedily established a definite daily routine.
Three times a day a special courier comes front the Vatican to Castel Gandolfo with correspondence and important documents. The first visit is early in the morning, the second at noon. and the last at 4 p.m.
During the afternoon the Pope relaxes by strolling through the gardens.
Si rive this is Pope Pius XII's first summer as the master of Castel Gandolfo, he is very keenly interested in the improvements which have been introduced, such as the late Signor Marconi's wireless station and the model farm, which is equipped with electrical milking devices and other modern devices.
From the beautiful terrace of his villa, the Pope is able to ace the dome of St. Peter's in Rome.
When he walks through the papal farm lanes, men and women farm hands approach him, kneel and offer fruits, flowers, vegetables and eggs, which the Pope, after blessing the workers, orders to be sent to his kitchens for use at his own table.
