Christ on Trial: How the Gospel Unsettles our Judgement by Rowan Williams, Fount £6.99. The Anglican Archbishop of Wales argues
that Christ is still on trial today in a world where atrocities occur every week. The book draws on modern fiction, film and the theatre as well as the Bible; there is even room for the Sherlock Holmes stories. Christ on Trial has been chosen as the Archbishop of Canterbury's Lent book for 2001. It's nice to know that Dr Carey plans so far ahead.
