Marian statue destroyed by vandal

A VANDAL has smashed a large statue of the Madonna and Child and scrawled anti-Catholic graffiti in the chapel of a Benedictine monastery in Gloucestershire. The painted marble and wood statue at Prinknash Abbey was destroyed by someone who entered the Madonna’s shrine in the main chapel early on Sunday afternoon.
The statue was broken into seven pieces.
