N1R DRAKE KOKA, a former trade union organiser in the black township of Soweto, South Africa, will arrive in Britain shortly to take up an educational post with the Catholic Institute for International Relations.
Forced to flee from South Africa after the recent detention and banning of trade union leaders. Mr Koka has been working with southern Africa refugees in Gaborone, Botswana.
A prominent member of the black conscious-movement, Mr Koka will tour Britain speaking to Church and other groups about conditions in South Africa, It is also hoped that Mr Koka will take part in a campaign sponsored by the International Confederation of Free Trade Unions to protest against the banning of South African trade unionists.
The campaign is to be launched in London on January 17 with a week of activities organised by the TUC.
