your criticism of the bishops of England and Wales for their apparent lukewarm reception of Sacramentum Caritatis (Leading article, March 23). Perhaps The Catholic Herald could focus more on the document's title and its last part: "The relationship between the Eucharistic mystery and social commitment must be made more explicit."
Then, "your part of the orchestra" might respond more enthusiastically to the 40th anniversary of Populorum Progressio, the Cafod campaign livesimply and the condemnation of nuclear weapons by the Hierarchies of England and Wales and Scotland.
