Bishops meet in London, Paris
While the Hierarchy of England and Wales were holding their Low Week meeting in London, 108 French Archbishops and Bishops were meeting in Paris for their second plenary assembly since the separation of Church and State in 1906.
Hundreds of guests from many parts of the country were received on Tuesday by the Cardinal Archbishop and the other members of the Hierarchy at Archbishop's House, Westminster-peers, M.P.s, leaders of all the main Catholic lay societies and others prominent in public life.
