ARCHBISHOP Vincent Nichols was chief celebrant at the annual Mass of the association of papal orders in Great Britain and principal guest at its dinner on Friday, September 25. Other guests included Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O’Connor and the ambassadors of Belgium, Hungary, Macedonia and Poland.
The Cardinal invested Sir Sigmund Sternberg with the Star of a Knight Commander of the Order of St Gregory. Sir Swinton Thomas, chairman of the association, welcomed the papal knights, dames and their guests and Archbishop Nichols responded.
