the Archdiocese of Birmingham, which was held at Wolverhampton on Whit-Tuesday.
A congregation of more than 5,000 assisted at the open-air Mass, (shown in the above photograph), which was celebrated by Mgr. Bernard Griffin, Bishop Auxiliary, in the presence of Mgr. Williams, Archbishop of Birmingham, who also preached against Godlessness and modern sentimentality.
The Congress also included a Holy Hour and a vast procession of the Blessed Sacrament.
