THE Guyana Council of Churches and the Guyana Human Rights Association have both condemned official Interference in their work in recent weeks.
Officials of the ruling People's National Congress prevented the GCC from holding its Annual General Meeting on March 12, while Customs officials in the previous week, seized literature sent to the GHRA by the Catholic Institute for International Relations in London.
Delegates attending the AGM of the GCC at the Anglican Diocesan Youth Centre, Subryenville (including the Anglican Bishop Randolph George, co-President of (JHRA), were prevented from entering the building by men supervised by officials of the Ministry of.
