Few can compete with this
TRAVELLERS with photographic talents and sporting instincts might like to know of a competition that has been arranged by Townsend Thorensen Ferries.
It offers the chance to win a luxury, fully equipped and furnished studio apartment in Spain's Costa Blanca that would normally cost about £25,000.
Pick up, from your nearest travel agent, the latest Townsend brochure and you will find full details of the competition which is open to travellers throughout the current year.
My more immediate task is to point out other advantages in patronising Townsend which has three times won the coveted "Ferry Company of the Year" award.
Trips allowing up to 60 hours on the Continent can now be taken at half-price. There are also reduced fares on five-day breaks and low rates for motorists travelling even during peak summer season months.
And don't forget that the Dover-Calais service is now only 75 minutes with return fares for car and driver on the shorter trips starting at £20.
Saving money is not everything. Townsend caters for luxury as well as economy tours and also specialised interests. Townsend, for example, are now "into golf', particularly at such championship courses as La Manga's "Campo de Golf."
Don't be put off by the title! Make some enquiries first.
