WITH RESPECT to Christopher Howse's article on Lord Chitnis, May
21, there are three, not two, non-white peers. Lord Pitt of Hampstead and Lord Chitnis are life peers but Lord Sinha is the only non-European hereditary peer and the grandson of the first Indian to be elevated to the peerage. James Lee Potter Essex
