Fethor Hann/ Pownall died on March 21. He was born or Garsion. Liverpool on September B. 1903 and educated In the parish school at St Francis and Usher Collage, where he trailed for The priesthood. He was ordained on July 26, 1931 at St Francis's and served at St Joseph's, Liverpool From September to December 1938 he went to the Cathedral. Shewsbury wilh evacuees, and then acted as curate at St Joseph's. Charley. In September 1949 he became parish priest of St Philormana's Liverpool, until April, 1973 when he resigned at his own request but continued to work. In 1976 he entered the home of the Little Sisters of the Poor, Belmont Road. Liverpool.
Father Ernest Francis Gray died on March 19. He was born on March 26, 1894 and educated at St John's, Kirkdate and by the Christian Brothers, Liverpool, He studied for the priesti rood at Ushaw and WM ordained at St Anthony's, Liverpool on August ft 1922. He served for three months at St Mary's Charley and in DeCember 1922 became curate at St Clete's. Liverpnot, In May, 1939 he was made parish priest at the English Martyrs'. Haydock, where he remelt-tea ,entii February, 1973 when he retired.
FR Romusid Eddy OFM, of Seaford Friary, London E., died on Friday lest at the Franciscan Nursing Home, Littlehampton. aged 70.
Born at Clevedon. Somerset, in 1909, he was educated et St Brendan's College, Bristol. and in the Franciscan Order which he joined in 1927.
Ordained in 1935 he was engaged in teaching and pastoral work until 1945 when he was appointed guardian of Chilworth Friary, Surrey. a house to which he was later to return E9 novice-master In 1948 he became guardian of Stratford Friary, and subsequently guardian of the friaries at Liverpool, Forest Gate. and Bristol. Apart from the offices he held in the order he gave many missions and retreats, and was confessor to religious communities.
Recently he was engaged In active parochial work at Stratford until 1977.
Father Bernard Lyons, aged 70, at Castletbn. Lancs. He was educated at St Vincent's, Ahrincham, St Bede's College. Manchester. Studied philosophy and theology at Oscott College, Worcs. He was ordained at Our Lady's. Stockport on the 14th June 1936, a curate at Our Lady's, Stockport from 1936-1949 and parish priest St Aldan's, Northern Moor. 1949-1978. He retired in 1978 and lived in Oreasby,
