Hospital Appeal
Fr. Gordon Albion, often heard in broadcasts from his church at Sutton Park, Guildford, is to appeal on Sunday, March 30, at 8.25 p.m. in the Horne Service, on behalf of the Hospital of St. John and St. Elizabeth, St. John's Wood, London. A general, not • a state-controlled hospital. it has been under the care of the Sisters of Mercy since their return in 1856 from the Crimean War, where, with Florence Nightingale, they nursed the sick and wounded. It is closely associated with the Order of St. John of Jerusalem.
