HOLY SEE'S W.R.Y. GIFT

THE Holy See has recently given the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees a token sum of 54.000 (over £1,400)-double its usual donation. It is only one of the many forms of support the Holy See has undertaken since the beginning of World Refugee Year.
In making this donation, the Vatican Secretariat of State asked that the sum should be used to help the following groups: European refugees; refugees from Hong Kong (Chinese and European); Arab refugees from Palestine; and refugees in North Africa.
At the same time, it reaffirmed that the Holy See intends to add to this donation the proceeds from a special issue of stamps which it will be producing for World Refugee Year
