Fr. Ernest Reynard, parish priest at Bishop Thornton, Penal Days parish 10 miles nortiowest of Harrogate, who celebrated his 70th birthday on Saturday, has been in turn a London businessman, Anglican monk, African mist:ciliary, a Catholic at 40 and a priest at 44.
Nearly 300 members of the Catholic Women's League took part in the rally last week at St. Paul's Training College, Newbold Revel, Warwickshrre, when Archbishop Masterson presented the Papal Cross Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice to Mrs. Kathleen Newsholme, a former president of the diocesan C.W.L. and of the Union to Catholic Mothers.
