Party political broadcast by Vaz

I READ with some considerable surprise the article by Keith Vaz entitled "A good sorting out for party with future" (October 12).
Whilst it is always interesting to hear the views of Catholic politicians of differing shades of opinion, Mr Vaz's article read like the script of a sickly sweet party political broadcast. I would like to point out to Mr Vaz that a few choruses of Jerusalem do not amount to a conversion and that Neil Kinnock, however charismatic he may appear, is not the
messiah.
The polemic of Mr Vaz's article was that the Labour party is now a God-fearing party. In fact nothing could be Further from the truth. Mr Vaz failed to mention that Neil Kinnock is an atheist. Furthermore, he failed to mention the blatant godlessness of certain Labour policies. Most particularly, Labour's abortion policies.
