POINTS TO NOTE

FOR travel between Britain and Ireland, British subjects and Irish citizens do not need any kind of travel documents.
Motoring visitors may drive in Ireland on the driving licence of their own country Or, alternatively, an International Driving Permit. A person possessing neither may purchase an Irish License for CI.
The climate in Ireland is comparatively mild most of the year; temperatures in the summer average from 60 deg. F. to 65 deg. F.
Tipping in restaurants is usually 10 per cent. Some hotels include a service charge of 10 per cent em their hills, Some major annual events in Ireland to note are: The Dublin Spring Shciw, in May, which is virtually the "shop window" of Irish industry and agriculture; the Dublin International Music Festival, in early summer; the Dublin Horse Show, in August, with events contested by some of the world's best show-jumpers; the Dublin Theatre Festival, in September, with outstanding productions from home and abroad: the Cork Film Festival, in early autumn. which is fast becoming recognised as one of the more serious of the world's many film events: the Cork Choral Festival. in the Spring, which draws entries from leading choirs in Europe: and the Wateiford Festival of Light Opera and Musical Comedy. in September.
