Mother Teresa buys London property
MOTHER TERESA is buying up real estate in London to set up a soup kitchen for the homeless.
The Nobel Peace prize winner was in the capital last week to purchase the former Lambeth magistrates' court. Her plan is to convert the large
property into a shelter for up to 40 of the city's homeless.
Mother Teresa's London real estate investment comes in the wake of her purchase, last September, of a property in Birmingham to house members of her order. Rumours that Mother Teresa, who is close to Princess Diana, plans to buy a London property in order to move closer to the Princess were denied by Buckingham Palace this week.
"Such rumours are highly speculative and I would be wary of them". a Palace spokesperson said.
