Extracts from Cardinal's book

THE FIRST of a series of extracts from Cardinal Hume's new book "Searching for God," will appear in next week's Catholic Herald.
The Cardinal examines man's religious instincts through a series of conferences originally given at Ampleforth. Although the conferences were primarily designed for a monastic community, they speak clearly and pungently to the secular world about man s need for God and God's need for man. The book will he published by Hodder and Stoughton in September.
