Dachau priest dies in Alps

Fr. Leonard Roth, a former inmate of the Dachau concentration camp who in 1945 was appointed by the late Cardinal Faulhaber to look after Nazis interned at Dachau and who has remained as
parish priest at Dachau since then, died in a mountain accident in the Vorarlberg, Austria, it was learnt last week.
Fr. Roth, who had been on holiday to recuperate, had been missing since July 20, but his body was only found on August 15. He was buried last Friday at Braz near Bregenz.
