Pop star presents new videos
CATHOLIC POP idol and actor Sean Maguire is the star of two new Christian Aid videos which will help schoolchildren with their RE lessons.
The two videos Good Day India and Wishing You Were Here, are aimed at primary and secondary school pupils. The films follow Sean, an EastEnders veteran, on a trip to Southern India, where he finds out for himself what the quality of life is like for the poorest children.
Twenty-year-old Sean claims that the trip to India "changed my life" . "In Britain I have a comfortable life but I learned so much from some of the poorest children in the world".
Each video has been produced to meet the needs of the increasing numbers of schools teaching about the work of Christian Aid.
The charity is now a named organisation in the national model RE syllabuses of England and Wales, and Scotland.
Both videos feature Sean's single Good Day, which hit the pop charts this May.
