AMONG PILES OF BRICKS . .

New Church at Grimsby
IN the bitter cold, more than 300 people knelt among a pile of bricks on a new housing estate at Grimsby on Saturday.
They were there to watch Bishop Ellis of Nottingham lay the foundation stone of a new church to be dedicated to Pope St. Pius X who was canonised only lust year.
Since his consecration nearly 12 years ago, Bishop Ellis has built an average of two new churches a year in the diocese. The Grimsby church which will cost over £20,000 is expected to be ready next summer. It will seat nearly 400 people.
