JOINT CHRISTIAN ACTION ON " EXPELLEES "
COLOGNE.
Close contacts may soon be established between the Catholic and Protestant Church authorities in Germany to cope with the great problems that have arisen from the mass expulsion of German populations from Eastern Europe in the wake of the Potsdam Agreement.
Two Catholic observers, Fr. Froehling, of Hamburg, and Fr. Engelbert, of Hanover, attended a recent meeting of the Protestant Ecumenical Council at Hamburg and pledged their support in the common undertaking. They will report to Cardinal Frings, Archbishop of Cologne, who is Papal Delegate for German refugees matters.
