THE ordination to the diaconate of Dom Bernard McInulty OSB and Dom Stephen Geddes OSB, Benedictine monks of St Benedict's Abbey, Fort Augustus, Inverness-shire by the Rt Rev Mario Conti, Bishop of Aberdeen, took place on Sunday, December 6 in the Abbey Church.
Dom Stephen, born in Port Glasgow, Scotland, was educated in Scotland and England and was employed in purchasing and commerce before entering monastic life. He is currently the Vocations Director at the Abbey.
Dom Bernard, born in Glasgow, was educated in Scotland and at the Salesian College, Shrigley Park, Cheshire and was employed by the National Savings Bank before entering the Monastery.
