A New Catechism For Schools

By a Stall Reporter
Since it was first published in 1889 over two million copies of the original " penny" Catechism (in recent times costing 2d.) have been sold.
Now. as a result of criticism of the original. the Catholic Truth Society have prepared a special edition for schools at a shilling.
Although the price is considerably in advance of the old edition, the advantages are many. Besides a better format and more legible type. the new edition is recognised by the local education authorities as a school text book which can be included on the requisition list. An interesting point about the " penny " Catechism is that it is looked upon as a classic in practically every English-speaking country in the world. It has even been compiled in Braille for the blind and such copies can be obtained from the National Institute for the Blind, 224, Great Portland Street, London, W.I.
