BB( and ITV television services will cover the 40th annual pilgrimage in honour of Blessed Cuthbert Mayne and his fellow Martyrs of England and Wales which takes place on Sunday al Launceston, under the leadership of Bishop Reslieaux of Plymouth. Bishop David Cashman, Auxiliary to Cardinal Godfrey is the preacher.
After the sermon, the Bishop of Plymouth will bless the pilgrims with the skull of Blessed Cuthbert Mayne, which will then be carrier' in procession from the Castle Green, where the martyr was imprisoned, to the Market Square, where be was put to
Thdeea011itli. ice of the Vice-Postulation of the martyrs' cause has published a new pamphlet on Blessed Cuthbert Mayne in time for the pilgrimage. It Is written by Frank Davey and carries four pages of illustration.
A Triduum of evening Masses in honour of the Blessed English and Welsh Martyrs will be celebrated ondratmedin aWvesTtmuesindsatey d iveci Westminster aCnathedral o
nesdav of next week. The Masses will be at six o'clock, and at each one there will be sermons on the martyrs, preached by Fr. Michael O'Dwyet (Monday), Abbot Oswald Eaves, O.S.R. (Tuesday), and Cardinal Godfrey (Wednesday).
Al Preston North End Football Ground on July 2, Bishop Flynn of Lancaster will lead a rally in honour of RI. John Southworth and his companions at 4 o'clock.
Fr. James Walsh, S.J., VicePostulator of the Cause, will preach. Contigents are expected from the Liverpool Archdiocese as well as the dioceses of Lancaster and Salford.
