2,000 Koreans baptised

Converts baptised in South Korea on the Holy Saturday of the first peaceful Easter the country has known for four years are believed to total nearly 2,000.
Fifty converts were baptised in Seoul's Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. The converts received their first Holy Communion at Mass after their baptism.
Sixty-seven converts were baptised in St. Benedict's parish in Seoul, the Columban Fathers in Mokpo City, South-West Korea, had 400. In warbattered Chunchon, the Columbans baptised 90 converts.
