WHAT THE DUTCH SAY Of Cardinal Innitzer's Visit to Roltne

Several Dutch Catholic papers give an interesting account of Cardinal Innitzer's interviews in Rome.
At his interview in Rome with Cardinal Pacelli (it appears), Cardinal Innitzer gave the reasons for welcoming the Nazis to Austria.
Cardinal Pacelli replied with the arguments advanced in the famous Vatican broadcast.
The interview was a lively one.
The next day, Cardinal Innitzer had a long talk with Mgr. Count von Galen, Bishop of Munster.
The latter, it is said, gave to Cardinal Innitzer a comprehensive account of the ever-increasing persecution of Catholics in Germany.
Cardinal Innitzer was impressed, and admitted that he had been too hastily confident in the promises of the Nazi leaders.
Cardinal Innitzer's conduct on returning to Vienna would appear to belie this Dutch story.
