'THE baby show? No. A pro' test march ? No. This unique procession of mothers, prams and babies is on its way to the laying last Saturday afternoon of the foundation stone of Leyland's new circular Church of St. Mary. Archbishop Heenan of Liverpool performed the ceremony, and the Abbots of Ampleforth and Westminster Were present. Mothers were asked by their parish priest. Fr. B. E. Fitzsimmons, 0,S.B., not to stay at home, but to join in the procession — hence the " pram parade " of the future congregation. At the site the mothers and prams were given a privileged position to watch the ceremony. The chairman of Leyland Council, Coun. I. E. Roberts, along with other leading non Catholics, attended.
