CENTENARY OF SOUTHWARK CATHEDRAL

In his sermon on Whit-Sunday. in the Pro-Cathedral, Archbishop Amigo, of Southwark, referred to the centenary of the opening of St. George's Cathedral, which takes place on Sunday, July 4.
He hoped that the centenary would he a " big day " and proposed to make an anpeal in his diocese on that occasion for the rebuilding of the cathedral. The people of Ireland had given over L36.000, and he hoped the people of his own diocese would be equally generous.
