Pope's visit
Dunng the Pope's first visit to the re-united Germany this week end, he is expected to seek to quell German calls for the ordination of women, the marriage of priests, and a greater role for the laity in Church decision making. He will also highlight Germany's Catholic past by beatifying two Catholic priests, murdered by the Nazis.
