Haiti expels seven more priests

T"government of Haiti has expelled seven more priests, reportedly accused of refusing to pray for President Duvalier.
The expulsions of the seven, whose names have not yet been given, leaves the city of Les Gonaives without priests and brings to 20—three bishops and 17 priests—the number forced out of Haiti since 1959.
Bishop Robert of Les C;onaives
and three priests (all Frenchmen) were expelled last month. A fourth priest was sent out a few days later.
The two other exiled bishops are Archbishop Poirier of Port-auPrince who was expelled in 1960, and Auxiliary Bishop Augustin of Port au Prince, the first Haiti born priest to become a bishop, was expelled in 1961.
The Holy See in a January 1961 Decree of the Sacred Consistorial Congregation, excommunicated all who had anything to do with the expulsion of the two bishops.
