Lords to debate Abortion Bill

THE Abortion Bill already the subject of a fierce controversy—is to be debated in the House of Lords on Monday. It will be referred back
two Wednesday. Further of Commons on Further amendments, designed to narrow the scope of the Bill, have been tabled by three members of the Lords, among them Lord Dilhorne, the former Lord Chancellor.
These amendments concern the conditions under which a pregnancy could be terminated when there is risk to the life of the mother.
