MASS will be cclebratccrevery day during the Olympic Games at Helsinki in a hall in the Olympic Village, and the Blessed Sacrament will he reserved there.
Many of the prospective competitors are Catholics. Perhaps the best known is Zatopek, the redoubtable Czech long-distance runner.
Finland's Vicar Apostolic, Bishop Cobhen, has appointed a priest, Fr. Veenker, to serve as liaison with the Olympic committee.
The Apostleship of the Sea is distributing to all countries a folder giving the times of Masses in Helsinki's only permanent Catholic church and a map showing how to reach the church, The port chaplain. Fr. L. J. Jamar, speaks several languages.
There are fewer than 2,000 Catholics in the whole of Finland. The total population is nearly 4,000,000.
