AS a result of the Augustinian
Provincial Chapter in Dublin last week, the Order's houses in England and Scotland have been granted a certain measure of independence and now form a vicep rov i nee..
The new Superior will be Fr. John A. Roche, 0.S.A., who has been nominated Commissary Provincial. He will reside at St. Augustine's, Hammersmith, London, where he formerly spent many years as prior and parish priest.
The secretary of the new viceprovince will be Fr. Thomas A. Daly, 0.S.A., prior of SS. Peter and Paul's, Dundee.
Other appointments are: Fr. J. B. O'Donoghue, 0.S.A., prior and parish priest of St. Augustine's, Hammersmith; Fr. John Paul Vignotes, 0.S.A., prior and parish priest of Austin Friars, Hythe; Fr. Patrick Ignatius Foley, 0.S.A., prior of St. Monica's, Hoxton Square, London; Fr. Colman J. O'Driscoll, 0.S.A., prior and rector of the recently-opened Augustinian College of Austin Friars, Carlisle.
Fr. Cornelius P. Delany, 0.S.A., former prior of Si. Monica's. Hoxton, has been elected Irish Provincial Definitor. He remains as parish priest of Hoxton.
