One Notable Absentee

1 here was one notable absentee from the seventh centenary celebrations of Cologne Cathedral, which began last Sunday. The Hungarian Government withheld the travel permit of the Primate of Hungary, Cardinal Mindszenty, who had applied for the necessary papers on receiving his invitation to attend about a month ago.
Mgr. Wienken, personal representative of Cardinal Preysing, Bishop of Berlin in the Russian Zone, was also unable to obtain an exit permit from the German capital to Cologne.
