Belgian Ex-Servicemen in Britain

Belgian ex-Servicemen have organised I pilgrimage on August 30 to the Belgian mausoleum erected in the cemetery of Shorncliffe Military Hospital, near Folkestone.
This mausoleum contains the remains of Belgian soldiers evacuated from Antwerp during the Great War who had died in Shorncliffe Hospital.
The pilgrimage is under the patronage of Cardinal Van Rocy, Archbishop of Malincs, and the Duchess of Vendome and the organising committee includes the British Ambassador to Belgium and Baron Cartier de Marchienne, Belgian Ambassador to Great Britain.
Busts of King Albert and Queen Elizabeth of the Belgians will be unveiled and British troops and the municipal authorities of Folkestone will take part in the ceremony.
