rite" April 6, is a trifle confusing. It states that "It is not yet known which Catholic clergy will be able to take part nor how far they can participate in the Mass."
There is nothing to prevent Catholic clergy participating in a Sarum Mass, indeed in July of 1981 a solemn Mass of the Sarum use was offered in Jesus. College Chapel, Cambridge, all that is required is the permission of the local bishop.
However, if Anglicans wish to use the liturgy of Sarum for their Eucharist not even a bishop can give permission for a Catholic priest to participate except in a genuine spirit of ecumenism, which would restrict full participation.
