by Christopher Rails CARDINAL Basil Hume is a contributor to a new telephone sermon service which became available this week.
Christianline. a new 24-hour Telecom service which began on Monday, has the backing of all the major denominations. It is aimed at Britain's 48 million non-churchgoers, as well as practising Christians.
Cardinal Hume will contribute four excerpts from his book. To be a Christian on four consecutive days, shortly after Easter. His contributions have already been recorded.
First of the 365 three-minute talks already recorded or prepared for, was available on Monday from the Very Rev. Colin Semper, Provost of Coventry Cathedral, who spoke on resurrection.
