Bishop convenes congress OVER 100 lay people, tepresenting 33,000 west

tondon Catholics, will attend a pastoral congress this weekend tp examine the meaning of the Decade of Evangelisation.
• Convenor of the congress, Bishop Gerald Mahon, auxiliary iii Westminster, said the event be a great opportunity to • study what evangelisation Means".
There has been a great deal of local preparation for the
congress, he explained. "Many of the delegates have been meeting at parish level for the last six months examining the latest document on the laity from the synod," he said.
Fr Pat Lynch, parish priest at the Sacred Heart parish in Acton, will open the residential congress and Dominican Malcolm McMahon of St Dominic's Priory, Haverstock Hill, will facilitate the group work.
