IN HIS annual report on the Catholic Enquiry Centre, Fr Peter Verity, the Director, reports that over 11,000 people wrote in for information about the Catholic Church in response to the Enquiry Centre's advertising campaign.
For many years for example the Catholic Centre has been advertising in wedding magazines. Many people thinking of marrying a Catholic write in for more information.
The four eight-page leaflets on marriage are also useful for priests and Sisters to help them with talks on marriage preparation.
Details from The Catholic Enquiry Centre, 120 West Heath Road, London NW3.

Kneeling in Compostela
HAVE YOU heard of the Confraternity of St James? It brings together people interested in the pilgrimage routes through France and Spain. Inspired by the rich heritage of art, architecture, music and faith, many thousands of pilgrims brave the rigours and pleasures of the journey to the Shrine of St James at Santiago de Compostela in North West Spain.
In recent years the pilgrimage has seen a great revival of interest. The Confraternity organises talks and outings, stimulates and pools research on all aspects of the pilgrimage in its bi-monthly Bulletin, and publishes a travel guide for the modern pilgrim whether on foot, bicycle, car or public transport.
