Indian Minister of Education Visits Convent

Mi' C. J. Varkey, first Catholic Minister of the Madras Province, presided recently at the Anniversary and Guardian's Day Celebrations held at the Sacred Heart Convent High School, Trichur.
Mr Varkey and the Most Rev. Francis Vazhapally, Bishop of Trichur, received a rousing welcome on entering the school hall. Speaking as Minister of the Congress Government, Mr Varkey, in a subsequent speech, congratulated His Excellency and the Sisters in charge on the splendid educational work being done at the school.—Fides.
