CHURCH IN MONGOLIA ON THE UP-AND-UP

In the course of the period 1840/1940 the number of Christians in inner Mongolia has risen from 3,000 to 210,000 with more than 30,000 Catechumens.
In this huge territory 400 missionaries are at work, including 162 native priests.
The great seminary of inner Mongolia Is at Tatungfa. From 1925 to 1939 no fewer than 124 native priests have been trained at this seminary, while seven others have studied in Rome.
The seminary of Tatung-fu was founded in 1924 with the financial help of Belgian, Dutch and American Catholics.
