The BBC's anti-Catholic agenda

From Mr John Rist
Sir, Taken in conjunction with its normal attitudes and biases, the BBC's proposal to air the offensive cartoon Popetown can he assumed to be no naive piece of fun but to aim to ridicule, in the eyes of youth, the Catholic Church, the most formidable authority in the way of "liberal" agendas. In writing to protest, as urged by your correspondent, Mr Straiton (July 4), readers might consider doing as I have done: first cancelling any standing order for payment of the BBC license fee and informing the Director General they have done so pending the outcome of their protests. To quote a much-read-if-littleacknowledged organ: "It's the only language they understand"! Other households besides mine might well conclude that dispensing with the services to which the license fee payment
entitles them could save time for other more valuable educational and family pursuits.
Yours faithfully JOHN RIST, [email protected]
