New province for England
BISHOP CRAVEN went to ee. Enfield. Middlesex, on Sunday, the Feast of the Holy Family, to celebrate High Mass in the Convent chapel of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth, London Road. The occasion was to celebrate the foundation in England of a Province of the Congregation. The sisters have Convents and schools in the Westminster and North ampton dioceses. In Pitsford, Northampton, the Sisters have a large boarding school for the children of displaced Poles. In the afternoon the Bishop called, unexpectedly, on a meeting of Council 248 of the Knights of St. Columba who are celebrating their silver jubilee this year, and was received by the Grand Knight, Mr. J. C. O'Riordan.
