CRISTLNA ODONE, the editor of the Catholic Herald for four years, announced her resignation this week.
Speaking to the Herald this week, she said: "I am sad to be leaving a newspaper I care deeply about, but I have complete trust that under its new stewardship the Herald will continue to be informative, independent and always interesting."
In what has been an interesting few years for the Catholic Church, she said that her journalistic highlight was "rocking the British Establishment with the news of Bishop Graham Leonard's conversion to Rome".
She stressed that she had planned to resign for some time before the controversial article about Archbishop Derek Worlock by Alice Thomas Ellis. She did
