Better Status For Workers
" Trade Unions in England had as their object from the first not only better working conditions, but a better status," said Fr. C. Pridgeon, Si., of the Catholic Social Guild, when he addressed the quarterly meeting of the Birmingham ACTU last week. The worker, he said. demanded a say in the conduct of the business, and rightly so; this was even more important than higher wages.
