"RACE THEORIES DESTROY JUSTICE" Cardinal van Roey Warns His Clergy

" The new theory of blood and race which is now dividing one man against another is met by the Church which teaches that Christ has given His Blood for the redemption of all men." Such was Cardinal van Roey's conclusion when giving an important pastoral conference to his clergy at Malines on the new theory now taught in Germany and Italy. " This theory aims at the destruction of the rules of Justice and Morality," declared the Cardinal. when stressing what were the dreadful consequences of the theory." The Vatican, stated the Cardinal, has invited all the Catholic Universities in the world to devote their fullest attention to the study of Races and Blood. All the clergy of the Archdiocese of Malines have been urged to iestruct the faithful on the dangers of the new racial theory. and to explain to them what are the principles of the Catholic Church on these two points.
